Terms & Conditions

Last updated 14 July 2026

These terms cover using EventSnap to receive and buy your event photos. By tapping a card and entering your number, you agree to them.

What this is

A photographer took your picture at an event. EventSnap delivers those photos to your phone. You can view watermarked previews for free, and buy the clean full-resolution files.

EventSnap is operated by Jon Jason. The photography companyrunning your event owns the photographs and sets the prices. At some events that company is us; at others it is an independent business using EventSnap under their own name.

Paying

Refunds

Digital photos are delivered instantly, so sales are generally final. That said, we are not interested in keeping money for something broken. If a file is corrupt, will not download, or is not the photo you paid for, email us and we will refund you. A refund removes your access to the clean files.

What you can do with your photos

Once you have paid, you get a personal, non-exclusive licence — print them, post them, send them to family, use them on your own social media. That covers essentially everything a normal person wants.

The photographer keeps the copyright. So you may not resell or license the photos to someone else, or use them in advertising or a commercial campaign, without the photography company’s written permission. Want commercial use? Ask — it is usually a simple conversation.

Watermarked previews are free to share. That is the point. Share them anywhere.

What the photographer can do with them

The photography company may use event photos to promote their own work, unless you tell them not to. If you would rather they didn’t, email us and we will pass it on and hide the photo.

Texts

Giving your number means you agree to receive texts about your photos from that event. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time.

Optional selfie search

Some events may offer an optional selfie search. You must separately consent before uploading a selfie. EventSnap uses it only to suggest possible matches from that event; results are not proof of identity, and the feature does not search other events or create an advertising profile. The selfie and derived face-search data are deleted under the event retention schedule. Details are in the Biometric Data & Face Search Policy.

Fair use

Please do not try to access galleries that are not yours, break the watermarking, scrape the service, or attack it. We will cut off access if you do.

Availability

We work hard to get every photo to the right person within seconds, but we cannot promise the service is never interrupted — venues have bad wifi, cameras fail, and networks drop. If photos are delayed or a frame is lost, we will do what we reasonably can to fix it.

Liability

Nothing here limits liability for anything that cannot legally be limited. Otherwise, our total liability to you is limited to what you actually paid us. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.

Privacy

How we handle your data is in our Privacy Policy, including how to delete everything.

Changes

We may update these terms; the version in force is whatever is on this page when you buy.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Michigan.
